“Few women, whether large or small, young or old,
feel comfortable living in the body they possess."
We have entered an era of cultural life when everyone is preoccupied with a woman's
body. But few women, whether large or small, feel comfortable and loveable living inside their
own body.
Body Embraced is a weekend program devoted to helping women heal the ancient pain
around their bodies. Together with other women, in a safe and nurturing environment, participants consciously explore and release the range of emotions associated with the
female body. Through awareness and acceptance, you will bring healing to the deeper wounds
surrounding your relationship to your body. Discover that underneath the discomfort, lies
the body's inherent knowing, unique gifts and immense love for itself.
Through Body Embraced, you will experience the joy of feeling expressed, radiant and
connected to your body and soul.
Neelama Eyres created Body Embraced out of her desire to assist women in healing
their relationship with their bodies. Neelama's vision is for women to transform
their body discontent into a vehicle for profound healing and acceptance.
Do you feel comfortable and loveable inside of your own body?
"I was reflecting back on my relationship with my own body and I realized a few
things. One is that my relationship with my body is like ANY relationship…it is
constantly changing, growing, expanding, contracting… it is not a STATIC thing.
And just like any relationship in
our lives (with family, friends, co-workers, children) , they require time,
energy, introspection, honesty, tenderness, and care… Relationships need
“fertilizer” to make them grow.
Your choosing to participate in the Body Embraced weekend is like
symbolically giving your relationship with your body this fertilizer. It’s you
saying that this relationship is important, that it matters to you, and that you
are going to tend to it in a loving and sacred way. "
~ Neelama Eyres, originator of the Body Embraced workshop.
